A gun was a gun until I met Louis. Yes, my Grandfathers and Father gave me their favorites when they passed. Their stories about their guns is what made them unique. The rest of the guns through my life came out of a box. A sight or scope was added depending on the need and technology available, but it was still just a gun.

Then I met Louis. Self-effacing. Without Bluster. Never over-stated. It took me awhile to understand he is the real deal when it comes to guns and much of life for that matter. I asked him, if money wasn’t a concern, what would you build in an AR? He took time to think through every part and yes, every screw; and at the end I told him simply ‘build it please’. 

I just received it and it’s no longer just a gun to me. This rifle is an “art-form”. I NEVER thought I would use those words, but as the millennials often opine: OMFG.

I could attempt an inventory of parts but it’s the sum of the parts, the artist’s vision, the tools and the application of the tools, that make this rifle an equal to any great work of art; but this art piece can get dirty and keep on slugging.

Interested in guns but having no family members who I would consider resources for information I set out to educate myself on pistols for self-defense. As a new husband and soon to be father I wanted to be able to protect my family. After meeting Louis I finally felt like I had a resource for information in the area I could count on. Soon after getting my first pistol I moved to the shotgun and from there quickly to rifles. As my shooting skills improved, my interest in the high-end guns, much like that of a high end sports car, started to peak. 

I didn’t fully understand the difference between a mid-range out of the box AR build and the true precision masterpiece that I was about to lay my hands on. After asking Louis to help me spec and build an all purpose weapon for target shooting, home defense, and anything else that I may need a rifle for, he worked up a price I was happy with and got to work. 

I shoot recreationally with my friends and family. Im not a master marksman but like with many things that I own I greatly appreciate quality and Id like to think that I have enough of an eye to know a truly great piece of equipment when I see one. I couldn’t be happier with the rifle that Louis designed and built for me. Whenever we go to the range, whether were shooting targets at 50m or 300m, I am always able to hit what I am aiming at. This rifle is purpose built to be light and fast, set up exactly for me and I would bet that any rifle owner would be thrilled to have one just like it… but this one is mine.
