Why is the shop only open on Thursday and Friday evenings?
Building custom rifles from scratch takes time, dedication, and most importantly concentration. For this reason we are only open by appointment during most of the week so that time can be spent on completing builds. If you would like to stop by the store feel free to set up an appointment.
Do you accept FFL Transfers?
Yes. Please give us a call to discuss your transfer needs. Average transfer fees for an incoming transfer starts at $25 but call ahead to verify pricing.
Whats the difference between First and Second Focal Plane?
A riflescope's reticle is placed in either the first focal plane (FFP) or the second focal plane (SFP). The main difference between them is that an SFP reticle will appear to be the same size regardless of magnification. A FFP reticle will shrink and grow as the magnification changes, therefore the hold over will remain constant regardless of the magnification.
Should I build a rifle using a chassis or a stock?
Each rifle we build is done so around the specific intended use of that gun. We have built 7 lbs light weight hunting rifles for large game hunts and heavy chassis rifles for long range match shooting. This question is usually easily answered once we begin the custom shop rifle build project process but if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
