This process is named after the blue-black appearance of the resulting protective finish. True gun bluing is an electrochemical conversion coating resulting from an oxidizing chemical reaction with iron on the surface selectively forming magnetite (Fe3O4), the black oxide of iron. 

 This is a Polymer-Ceramic coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.  

This is a unique process that allows you to apply graphics to almost any stock. Once the graphic is applied a protective clear coat is added for protection.

 There are several coating-type metal finishes on the market with a staggering range of color options to choose from. This process is inexpensive and expressive.
